Trading journal

A free trading journal, built for gold traders.

Log your trades by zone and layer, record what happened, and review your decisions by week, by pair and by rule. Included with every DGCPUBLIC account, free or partner, at no cost. It records; you decide.

Zone entries, up to ten layers

Log a trade the way gold is traded: an entry zone from start to end, up to ten layers spread across it with their own lots, and how many of them actually filled.

Outcomes and P/L

Target, stop, manual exit, pending or no fill. P/L is worked out from the pip value you set per pair, so a gold entry and a EUR/USD entry both come out in money.

Dashboard and charts

Trades, win rate, P/L and risk tiles; an equity curve, P/L over time, outcomes by result and wins and losses by pair, filtered by date range.

CSV import and export

Bring in old trades from a spreadsheet with a strict .csv import (validated cell by cell, 1 MB, 1,000 rows) and export the lot back out in the same format.

One journal or many

Free members keep one journal. Partner members run several, one per account or per client, with per-journal results side by side.

Two-factor authentication

Authenticator-app 2FA with backup codes, rate-limited sign-in, secure sessions and email confirmation. Your record, locked.

How it works

  1. Create the account. Email and password, confirm the link we send, optionally turn on two-factor authentication under Your access.
  2. Log the trade. Pick the journal, enter the date, pair, direction, the zone, the layers and the stop and target in pips. Size it first with the position size calculator.
  3. Close it out. Mark the outcome when the trade ends: target, stop, manual exit at a price, or no fill. P/L is calculated for you.
  4. Review. The dashboard shows the equity curve, the outcomes and the results by pair and by journal for any date range. Export to CSV when you want the raw data.

Why keep one

A journal is the only way to know your real win rate, your real average loss and which setups pay. Those three numbers feed the expectancy calculation; without them a trading plan is a guess.

The DGCPUBLIC journal is deliberately plain. It does not grade trades, score discipline or suggest what to do next. It keeps an accurate record of what you did and what happened, and shows it back to you in a form you can act on.

Free members keep one journal. Partner members keep as many as they need and can be granted premium tools on the same dashboard.

FAQ

Questions about the journal

Is the trading journal really free?

Yes. Every member gets the journal at no cost, on the free plan and with partner access. It is a record-keeping and review tool for your own trades; it does not rate, grade or recommend trades, and there is no trial period or card.

What does the journal record?

Each entry has the date, the pair, the direction, the entry zone (start and end price), up to ten layers with lot size and price, how many layers triggered, the stop and target in pips, the outcome (target, stop, manual exit, pending or no fill), the manual exit price if any, and notes. Profit and loss is calculated from the pip value you set per pair.

Can I import my old trades from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Use Import CSV inside the journal: only .csv files up to 1 MB and 1,000 rows are accepted, every cell is validated the same way as a manually entered trade, and a template is provided for the column names. Export produces the same format, so a round trip is lossless.

How many journals can I keep?

Free members keep one journal. Partner members, who open a supported broker account through the partner link, can create and manage as many journals as they need, for example one per account or per client, with per-journal results on the dashboard.

What data do you store about me?

Your email, a password hash and the entries you write in the journal. Two-factor authentication secrets and backup codes are stored hashed. Nothing is sold or shared; the journal is a tool for your own records.
