What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how to get it deleted. We collect as little as the service allows.
Short version: email, a password hash and the journal entries you write. No card details, no identity documents, no broker passwords, no advertising cookies, and nothing sold to anyone.
What we collect
Account: your email address, a hashed password (we never store the password itself), your plan, your role, the date you joined and the date you last signed in.
Two-factor authentication: if you turn it on, a secret used to check your codes and hashed backup codes.
Journal: the trades and notes you write, and the journals you create.
Security: sign-in attempts with the IP address and timestamp, used to rate-limit and to lock accounts after repeated failures. Our web server also keeps standard access logs.
Support: whatever you write to us by email or on Telegram.
We do not ask for or store government identifiers, card numbers, broker passwords or investor passwords. Never send us a trading account password.
Why we collect it
To create and secure your account, to deliver the plan you are on, to store the journal entries you choose to write, to answer support requests, to send service email (confirmation, password reset, important notices), and to protect the service from abuse. We rely on performing our agreement with you, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Service email (confirmation, password reset, security and account notices) is part of the service. If we add a newsletter it will be opt-in and every message will carry an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.
Cookies
We use one cookie, dgcm, to keep you signed in to the member area. It is strictly necessary for the service, it is not used for advertising, and it expires when the session ends or after the limits described in our security settings. Cloudflare Turnstile, used on the sign-in and sign-up forms to block bots, may set its own technical cookie. We do not run advertising or analytics cookies at the time of writing; if that changes we will update this page first.
Who else sees the data
Our hosting provider stores the site and the database on our server. Cloudflare provides the Turnstile anti-bot check on our forms. Google Fonts serves the typefaces on the public pages. Email we send to you is delivered from our own mail server. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Links to brokers, Telegram and YouTube take you to services with their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
How long we keep it
Account and journal data stay while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your account record and your journal entries; encrypted backups may keep a copy for up to 30 days before they roll over. Sign-in attempt records are kept for a short window for rate limiting. Mail server logs follow our host's normal retention.
Your rights
You can see and change your email and plan from inside the member area, export every journal entry to CSV at any time, and ask us to delete your account and data by writing to support@dgcpublic.com from your registered address. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to ask for a copy of your data in a portable form, or to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Where the data lives
DGCPUBLIC is established in the United Arab Emirates and our server is hosted in Europe, so your data is processed in the UAE and in Europe. If you use the service from another country, the same protections described here apply wherever you are.
Changes
We update this page when the service changes. The date at the top is the last change, and members are told by email about material changes.
